Default Mountain biking on a glacier

Have been doing this for a number of years, but finally got some decent photos this last summer. This is on the Kennicott Glacier. You have to carry your bike over two moraine crossings which can be a real pain, but once you're there you can ride on the ice for several miles. Plenty of terrain for trick riding for those that are so inclined. Definitely some of the most AWESOME scenery one could have on a mountain biking trip!!!

Trying to post these photos, but can't seem to get it to work correctly! I'll at least put the URL's. Any advice on how to do this?

Can't get the pics to show up. I can imagine some pretty decent summer glacier riding on the right glacier. With studded tires I suspect that you would have very good traction and could have some riding features similar to southwestern slickrock.

Trying to attach the pics this time instead, wish me luck.....

No studded tires necessary actually, as long as you go on a sunny day. The sun makes the ice course and gritty, so much so in places that all the friction can actually slow you down. A fall would definitely result in a pretty impressive raspberry, probably a nasty bleeding road rash actually. On a rainy day the ice would be a slick nightmare (and no fun to be out there at all for that matter probably).

If these photos don't work I'll try one more time, hoping the third time is the charm.
