    Default Tok River

Has anyone ever ran the Tok river, I'm looking for information on how wide/deep the majority of the river is and if it can be made in a large cataraft or if I would have to bring a canoe. Also if there are alot of sweepers on it. It seems to be a slow meandering river.

    Thanks!

Are you talking from the upper bridge to Tok? Or from the glacier to the bridge and or Tok?

Yes, Im talking from the upper bridge to tok. I've seen the take out at the hwy and it looked like it didn't have much water in it. Any info you have would be greatly appreciated.

The river is glacier fed, but it also gets a lot of influence from rain so the water levels can change fast. I remember the last fire they had close to town they were using airboats to shuttle on the river. I would say for the most part it runs shallow with the exception of a hard rain in the mountains. I'm not sure what catarafts can handle, but a canoe should work fine.
