We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to rough it, we go to smooth it. We get it rough enough at home; in towns and cities; in shops, offices, stores, banks anywhere that we may be placed

Nice Ling! I'm gonna guess over a pinnacle NW side of Montegue......just guessing of course.

If you snag a new rod and reel off the bottom, then that's where you want to be!

    Default Fun

Those big lings are alot of fun! I caught one 50 miles out of Homer at Perl Island that went 70 lbs 4oz. So, I know for expierience, they are a chore to haul up from 150 ft!

    Nice Fish!

    Thanks for the compliments.
I don't know the weight or length (so I can pretty much make up anything I want )
This was the largest of the 4 that we caught, but the others were not much smaller. Caught it on a white grub with a piece of herring stuck on the hook. Hauled it on board and it went directly into the cooler and we shut the lid as best we could while it thrashed around. Sucker started spinning and winding up my line as it spun. Rod tip got close to being pulled into the cooler (thought it was going to break off) and was able to put slack in the line at the last moment. Lings have turned me on to jigging. Lots of fun.
