    Default iIs there a cleaner burning 209 primer,other than the original shotgun primer

    I have heard there is a cleaner,better burning 209 primer for muzzle loading aplication?..

    I believe your thinking about remington muzzleloading 209 primers. I too was interested in them, but a search through various forums revealed that the majority of people who tried them thought they were a gimmick.

    And if you think about it, I cant really see why a 209 would be "dirty". You certainly have more to worry about with the powder you a burning rather than the little ol' primer.

    Try a Remington Kleenbore. They are not as hot as a standard 209 primer and the face is a little softer if you have a hammer that is a little light.
