Default Air Charter on wheels - Iliamna or Dillingham

I'm looking for references of air charters flying wheels out of Iliamna or Dillingham. I would like to land on a mountain and put my raft in at the headwaters. Any information would be appreciated.

    Thumbs up Dillingham Wheel-Plane

Dillingham will soon have a transporter aircraft on wheels.

BAY AIR, owned/operated by Tom and Janet S., have purchased a wheel plane with a 600 pound+- weight max limit. It should be ready for business this spring.

What aircraft is it? You mentioned 600 lbs weight limit is that passenger and gear? Thanks for the info. I'll give them a call tomorrow.

    Question Wheel plane

    Wolfeel,
I spoke with Tom recently while confirming my schedule of fall flights with his Beaver on floats. The 600 pound approximate capacity of his new aircraft is one passenger and 400 pounds +- of cargo gear. I'm not an airplane guy and I forget what type of aircraft it is. I should know, but I can't think of it right now. It clearly is larger than a cub, and still has short landing and takeoff capability for bush flying. When you call him, tell him I mentioned the new wheel plane, but don't tell him I forgot the type of aircraft.

Dennis, I called and talked with Tom today and it is indeed a Maule with the carrying capacity you stated. Thanks for the update.
