Default Copper Basin 300 this weekend.

Looks like an exciting time is being had by all.

Lance won but had to drop 5 of his dogs over the course of the race. Is that something he might do because he is training new dogs and wants some trail experience? Or are 10 dogs faster than 15? It was a close race.

Don't know yet about the dropped dogs but it could have been that he was just being careful with them. He also had two other teams of his dogs out there. One being driven by Braxton, his handler, and another team driven by Alex, that National Gaurder who he is leasing a team to. So they may have been dogs that were in training.

A dog teams' power double exponentially until 8 dogs. So if you have 5 dogs and add a dog, it doubles the power of the team, etc. Up to 8 dogs. Or so I've been told. So there really shouldn't be much difference between the power of 10 dogs and 15.
