Default The Palmer Lions Club Gun Show

The Palmer Lions Club will be hosting their 42nd Annual Gun Show on February 28th and March 1st of 2009 in Raven Hall on the Palmer Fair Grounds. Admission is $5.00 and kids are free, as well as vendor tables are $40.00 apiece. In addition to all of that they are also raffleing a Ruger stainless/synthetic 30.06 w/ a Leopold VX-1 3x9 stainless scope, soft case, scope covers, sling, and two boxes of ammo for $10.00 a ticket with a maximum amount of 1000 tickets to be sold. The proceeds go to benifit the valley food banks.

Sounds like it will be a pretty good show....

Good to know that when I lose my money will be well used. I keep buying in and never win anything.

I'll be there; I look forward to the winter/spring gun shows to get out of the house, bs with my buddies and buy stuff. I don' t think I've ever bought a gun at a gun show yet. Maybe this time.

    Default Vendor Information

To apply for a space simply call 907-761-3750 and give your information to the message machine. If you would like to talk to someone personally indicate that in your message. Once you do this you should recieve a packet in the mail.

What is the general opinion of how this gunshow compares to the Alaska Gun Collector Assn's gunshow that is coming up in March also?

Admission is cheaper, there are alot more vendor tables, there is a shuttle that will pick you up from the Purple lot and take you to Raven Hall and this is the only show that the Sportsmans Warehouse does in the Valley. Additionally all of the money generated from this show goes in to sponsoring things like Camp Abilities, the local Food Banks and Eye Screening for youth as well as many other worthy endeavors. On a down note though, it does get pretty hot and crowded on Saturday and could be a bit of a downer. In my opinion the best time to go is Sunday morning while everyone is at church. One is able to take their time and look around and really enjoy the show.

Hours are 10 -5 on Sat. - you can sleep in a bit later and still get there in time to catch a good deal or two.

Here is a list with links to the various show promoters. Between the dates on the list and the links to the show sites it has all the details
