    Question seward highway blackies

I was just wondering if it would be possible to find a black bear this weekend on the seward highway between hope and cooper landing. I was thinking about doing some spotting from the highway, or hike up a trail in search of a bear. has anyone seen bears in that area recently? Any information would be greatly appreciated!

I was down there last Saturday. It's going to be at least another week or two before the snow's all gone. I did see a brown bear track that was about 8 inches across though.

    Default Heading down there...

tonight snow or not. I am going to try the same area. We may go give it a shot down Resurrection Trail or Johnson Pass.

I was down there for the last 4 days. Saw a few tracks but in total we didn't see any blackies, but we did see 10 brownies however so the browns were out but i think it will be a little later for the blacks

The black bears are out on the Kenai Peninsula.
