Default -52 at the shack Awsome fishing

    - 52at the shack on lake louise on Tuesday when we showed up. Planned on staying till sunday but was awful hard on the sleds so we came home on Thusday night. Good fishing lots of action. Was -52 outside and 80 inside the shack TEE shirt weather right? Lots of action in the mornings from first light till maybe noon then things slowed. Biggest was 28inchs laker lots from 20-26. 1 burbot on an outside trap that had 8 inchs of ice in about 6 hours time. Folks a word of wisdom....Try to take a dump BEFORE you get there at -50+ things dont work for long....

Gee, thanks for the visual of a turd hanging out your butt, frozen like a fudge pop.

Default There was once a frozen turd

    -52 was absurd
    He thought he could wait
    His teeth he did grate
Take it outside said his fishin mate
Ain't no way, I'm sure I can hold it
    DANG! No I can't wait
My pants down to my knees
Squattin on that ice, my ba!!$ did bout freeze
You could say I was in a hurry, cause
There wasn't nothing exposed that was furry
I dedicded that I had to be done
Cause this sure as heck was no fun
A hard shake to the left and the right
I shook with all of my might
It broke clean off, I laughed at the sight
There it lay, this frozen log
If anyone asked, I'd just blame the dog!...

    Default ...

Back when I was a paratrooper we used to call those "hung-jumpers", it's just like when a guys static line doesn't release and leaves him slapping up against the side of the airplane. You just have to shake them loose...

When I was in the 82nd they were called tow jumpers. And, an awful lot of the time, they were brought back into the plane dead. Some guys brought knives with them just in case, but and I had one too, but looking back, having one was probably just mentally reassuring as in practice it would be pretty tough to use it I bet. Some days I really miss jumping. Others, not so much.
