My leather bindings are shot....what do you all suggest for a replacement? I have seen alot of rubber innertubes used for bindings, anyone have a template for that?

    Thanks in advance,

Cabela's has a nice binding that I think I'm going to order.
I once saw a binding on line that was homade from (as strange as it sounds) "Romex" electrical wire. I believe the wire was 12-2. Sounds strange but the concept looked great. Wish I could find it again.

Here's the ATA link loquito mentioned.

I just bought those Cabelas Binding, but have yet to try them out. Now there is no snow around here.

Do they look like a good solid binding?

They look fine to me, but it has been 20 years since I last went snowshoeing, so I'm probably a poor judge. If you're in Anchorage, you can stop by and look at them to see what you think. I work at Anchorage City Church on Minnesota and can usually be found there. The snowshoes are in my vehicle.
