    Default off topic help needed

I need to find a trail, or get pointed in the right direction to gain access to the upper Little Willow Creek for a kayak adventure. I thought some of you guys might know something.
    Thanks MO

    Default There has to be

    some route up that river.
I would imagine you could contact the land use manager in that area.
Not sure if its state or fed ? They may have information on a trail.
Looking on topozone.com, they don't have any trails listed. I see there is like a winter trail that takes off from the hatcher pass road , maybe about 3 miles from where it intersects the hwy. It shows a trail, but that would only put you like 4 miles up river from the Little willow parks highway bridge.
    Sorry...

Default Upper Little Willow Creek Access

may be found through Tim Johnson, the hair boater who wrote "Alaska Whitewater; A Guide to Rivers & Creeks in the Last Frontier". Try reaching him at (907) 242-5950. By the way, his book is well worth owning!

    Good luck,

How far up are you looking to get to?...are you trying to get to the head waters?...I've been pretty far up, what kind of adventure are you looking for? Just a nice long trip or are you looking for shaky water?...

    Default hey

When i flew into upper sheep creek i noticed little willow was white for miles. I am running sheep again this summer in June and will get a better look. I think this might be a tough haul, but thats the adventure.
It is not in Tims book but i have mentioned it to him. It did not seem to be boxed in a canyon from the air, and looks like it might be worth looking into.
    thanks all

    Default Even better (Maybe)

I might be able to get an ultralight up on a nice day which would allow for a 30 mph scout video to be made. How well do you think that would work for a trip preperation? Also, scouting a route to get there would be possible.

P.S. Where's the pics Mark, the the gallery is now open.
