    Default Help with new rifle.......

Bought a Stevens 200 in a .270 syn/blued, couldn't pass up the deal at SW. I like almost everything about it, OK, it needs a trigger job. Can this trigger be lightened? or does it need to be replaced? and/or can it be? If so, who in the valley/anch would be a good prospect to fix this?

    Thanks,
    Curt

p.s. .220 swift project is still under way, just bought the paint yesterday for it so hopefully be done with pic's and "how to" soon.

Just ordered a Timney trigger, set at #3, should crisp it up a bit!

    Default Congrats!

Over the Christmas break I picked out the Stevens 200 in the 25-06 from the sw in Anchorage. I topped it with the 3x9x40 Bushnell Trophy High Contrast which has the illuminated crosshair reticle. I paid 385.95 for the whole set up. I am pretty happy with it! If I like it, the accuracy, etc.. I may have to wait for the next sale and choose a magnum caliber.

I wish you luck with your .270Win Stevens 200.
