    Default Greetings

Just thought I would say hi. I have been flying for 31 years, work for an airline and own a Murphy Moose. I live in Florida now. I hunt pig mostly but some deer and turkey. I look forward to the posts.

    Default Moose numbers?

How do you like the moose? What is it comparable too?? 180, 185? What are some of your cruise numbers with fuel flow?

I love the Moose. I did not build it. It was built at the factory. I get about 130kts at 13/hr. It has the two bladed Russian prop the V-530.

    Hey, Lizzard - - - - - WELCOME ABOARD!!!

Whereabouts are you tied down in Florida? After flying Alaska for thirty-five years or so, I've finally landed in Lake Worth, over in Palm Beach County. Are you nearby? Wouldn't mind swapping some tales with ya . . .

    Hey,
I am living in Merritt Island and the Moose is at KTIX.

That is the only place I can get a hangar.

My kids play ice hockey and we go by Lake worth all the time. Are you enjoying the "cold" winters here. I think it might get down to about 50 on Christmas...

I would love to here about you flying in Alaska.

I am a member on a hunting camp in Volusia county, near Oak Hill.

We just saw our first Black Bear on the camp a few days ago. They get to about 300-400 pounds here and are not hunted. High temp about 75 tomorrow (Christmas).

I flew the back country in Alaska for 35-years, but now live in Florida. If you can tell me where you're located, maybe we can get together and have some coffee and share a few tales one of these days.

You also may catch some of them in one of my books: Flying the Alaska Wild, or soon to be released (in January, pre-orders now at Amazon.com),The Alaska Bush Pilot Chronicles.

No I have always lived or been stationed down here. I am "thinking" about making a trip in the Moose up there and back though.

Give me a call at 561-965-1083 the next time you taxi into Lake Worth. We'll have some coffee and share a little hangar flying.
