    Thumbs up

Reminds me of some of the bar crossings in Oregon. We used to watch them all the time coming out of the Tillamook bar in Garibaldi.

    Default Yes

    It is oregon,

    The Umpqua River.

I was stationed at that unit for four years. Surf drills was the best part of the job.
The 47' motorlife boat can be put into some crazy stuff.

If I had the money I'd like to own one.

    Default Nope

They stopped us from diong roll overs. To much damage to the boat everytime a boat rolled. In fact If someone rolled one during training they probably wont drive the boat again. I have been on a 90% roll a few times. It's a wierd feeling when your 18' off the water strapped into a seat and then you can stick your arm out and touch the water.

The 47' Motorlife Boat is a very fun boat. Twin 435Hp motors. Top speend is 27 Knots. Tow's up to 150 displacemnet tons. Has a range of 250 miles only.

    I'll add another pict.

It's been a bunch of years ago when we used to watch them do roll-overs on the Tillamook bar, not sure what size of boat they used but it was alway exciting.

One thing for sure, you guys didn't get paid enough for what you did.

Kingfisherktn, are you in the Coast Guard in Ketchikan? My son just got stationed there about 2 months ago, and loves it. His name is Chad, and is assigned to the CGC Naushon.

    Default It was

I've had that boat in the open ocean 20-26' swells with 30-55 mph winds. Dodging crab bouy's was fun. With the proper person behind the wheel that boat can do some amazing things.

I know alot of fisherman felt a little better when we were around.
