Default Who works on 45-70 in the Valley

    Hello,
My 45-70 has only had maybe a dozen rounds through it although it seems that the claw astractor is no longer working. Does anyone know anybody in the valley who works on them and does great work?

Default a bit more info needed...

Claw extractor? I’m not getting your question? Is it not extracting, or is it not ejecting……. Is it a Marlin? If so, and its not extracting, then pull the bolt out and have a look at the extractor. It will be self evident if there is something broken or bent on it.

WOW! Another one of these. A forty-five-seventy what? I only know of one rifle chambered in 45-70 with a claw extractor, a Siamese Mauser. Any Gunsmith worth his salt can work on a Mauser rifle.
Is there nothing so sacred on this earth that you aren't willing to kill or die for?
