That's some funny stuff right there. Some of his mistakes were so dumb you'd swear they were staged.

    Alaskachuck,
thats a great pic of you with the trout!! Someday we need to get together and fish the kenai together. Even a dirtbag gillnetter like me finds a good bow or two every once in awhile.

    Thumbs up Your on

That was not a huge fish just a pretty fish. I just loved his color. It is not always the biggest fish that are the best. Perfect mouth. my buddy spotted him as i was drifting into the gravel bar to land. its some flat water. Lots of carcass piles in this spot every year. 4th cast on flesh and it was on. Alot of fun on the 5wt for sure. Those are some nice fat bows your showing off too. Im there a quite a few of us from here that fish it in the fall and have a good time togehter around camp. shoot me a message as the time gets closer and lets see what we can work out

    Chuck & Drifter,
That sounds like a great plan, i'll make sure and look you guys up this fall. I always bring lots of bugs to share/munch on when i go fishing. I have both a drift boat and a 18' G3 w/50hp fourstroke so we can fish lots of spots on the river.

Default Hard to have a bad day fishing

Kenai regulations says that if you are caught sober you will be fined $500 and your rods will be snapped in half.

hey potbuilder you ever leave that slick bowpicker of yours and go chase cutts? Anyway you're welcome to fish with me anytime, as long as I get to hear about starfishing
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.
