Thumbs up Trail Report W.P.C. Willow AK. 12/17/08

Well another week gone by and things are looking really good in Willow and out on the river. Just got back from marking ,grooming and trimming Jack Laub's Deshka X-over, man did it come out nice!!!! Anyway it's 3 below with better temps on the way and 20 inches of snow in the front yard! We put in 360 fleet miles this week with the new groomer and Yamaha VK. Man things are smooth!!! Also got in Old Hunters trail this week. Lots of new signage was also placed this week.
Rode up to Luces on Sat. on the new VK. right up the middle of the river on a Sunny Day, what a ride!!

    Default Thanks for the update

    Trail Boss,
Thanks for the updates and all the hard work, especially on the shortcut to the deshka river. Does it still come out in front of Laub's this year or did you guys move it so it doesn't cross his property?
Can't wait to get out there in a week!

    Thumbs up Trail Moved!

Jack Laub's Deshka River X-over has moved downsteam with a afternoon of hard work from the Willow Trail Comm. this summer. We put in a 4x4 post to mark it on the Deshka side, and some one stole it.
It comes out about 400 yards downsteam of Jack's. All new signage is in and it came out great!
Also this trail will become part of the Alaska State Parks Corridor Trail System from Big Lake to Denali State Park.
More on this in later reports.
