    Default black bear hunt planned, any tips?

    Im planning a hunt in May for black bear. Hunting around alava bay, coastal and inland hunting. Does anyone have any tips for that area?

    if you have skiff cruise coast line at low tide. watch tidal flats, south facing slopes.
    have good rain gear,and goretex type may not be what you want- look at peter storm or helly - hansen impretech,....no cotton clothes,
    have calf high rubber boots and hip boots.

    Thanks alot, and we will have a skiff. I have chest waders, which I thought about bringing or should I find some hip waders?

    Ankle fit waders are the way to go if you are doing any hiking.
    Life is tough........it's alot tougher if you're stupid.

    Get a tide chart; you'll live and die by the tides..... if you don't know what I mean you will after you're there.
