    Default Sceery

I've got the Sceery snowshoe hare call. It's got the camoed rubber barrel on it. its a metal reed type call. Seems to sound all right.

    Default Crit-r-Call

I have the Sceery Snowshoe closed reed, but really like the Crit-R-Call standard. It's an open reed and doesn't freeze up as easy as the metal reeds. Another good one, which is recommended by Rick Kinmon in his book "Hunting the Hunters" is the Sceery AP-6.

I have the same one. I think it's the APS-5.

I also have a Johnny Stewart cassette tape of snowshoe hare in distress that I picked up from http://www.wholesalehunter.com/produ...productid=1576

    Figures it'd be discontinued.
    Now what ?

I have a Johnnie Stewart PC-3 and it sounds pretty good to me. I accidentally shot a rabbit in the soft part of a very sensitive region as it was running away and to say it was "distressed" is certainly an understatement. I can produce the same sounds with the PC-3.
