    Default clamming

anyone try clamming this time of year? I seen we had a - 5.4 tide Friday night and thought I might give it a shot if the weather stays warm.

There have been several threads about clamming in the winter. It sounds like an uncomfortable proposition.

Yeah the last thread about winter clamming sounded like a nightmare. I think it was a post about 1 month ago, it was a great story.

If we get some decent weather after the first of the year I think I'm gonna try it. Who knows gas may not be this cheap by summer, It may be worth it

You have got be one seriously tough guy to clam at this time of year. I always started the last week of April and it was still pretty cold then some years.

    Default From a past story.

Stay on the beach and don't boat out to any sweetspots while its dark. That story from a few months ago dashed any future plans by me for winter/midnight clamming.

    Thumbs up

Just got back in truck was a little windy but as long as you dress for it wasn't bad the three of us all got our limit in about two hours full moon helped out alot with the light was a little hard to find some clams at first but we found a group of them and didn't move out of a 300 ft area. I think Im gonna go out again tommorow night. What a grate way to spend a Friday night
