    Default Scope Rings...

Posted in another thread (others are looking for answers too, apparently) without much luck, so I thought I'd ask the general population...

Looking to mount my Burris 3-13x50 XTR on my Stag AR-15. I need to know what are good 30mm rings to mount this scope. What manufacturer? Who to steer clear of? Do I need any sort of quick disconnect model? Are badger rings worth the dough?

    Thanks

I recently had problems with the Warne Aluminum tactical rings for my Stag Ar, So I went with the steel Warnes in a trade. They are kinda a pain with all the screws being from the side. It seems to mess up your cross hair alignment when you torque them down.

I paid $98 plus tax for the Warnes

Badgers are good mounts for bout $59 more than the Warnes

I am going to try these on the next AR that I scope.

I've always heard good things about the badgers, but yeah, they are WAY expensive.....guess you get what you pay for.

Any place to get a deal on these?

With a picatinny rail, what height rings do you have to get to clear the 50mm objective? I'm guessing its going to be different brand to brand?
