Default Which scope for a 500 S&W Carbine?

Looking for ideas on a scope for a 500 S&W pump carbine. I am thinking a 2.5x. Also does anyone make flat scope bases?
    Thanks

I think that a luepold 1-4 or 1.5-5 would be great on a gun like that.As for bases weaver and warne both make flat bases of the holes line up a 2pc steel weaver base for a marlin levergun may work just have to measure hole spacing to figure it out. What make model is it and can you post pics, ive never heard of a pump in 500s&w.anyway hope this helps

    Default scope for 500 S & W

check out the Schmidt & Bender 1-4 by 24. Talley make some very nice combo rings bases units that mount very low, one piece units and typically Talley strong.

Neat looking gun. You will have to post how it shoots. It was made in my hometown, so watch out.

    Try a Leupold Vari-X ll 1x4 . I've hammered different ones with everything from a .375 to a .475 A&M , they hold up
