    Default serious ak pike fishing

me and my two other fishing buddies step on to the ice with about 5k worth of gear. the lakes we have been going to have been producing but due to overfishing are begining to slack. does any one have any lakes or areas where there might be some good sized fish left under the ice. im not necesarrily looking for exact lakes and spots because i know how stingy i am, but if anyone has areas that might produce, even way out there, we fish all central ak and i even fly out for some trips, i would be more than appreciative.

hmm......sounds like money isn't an issue for you. I'm pretty sure you can't go wrong to fly out to a lake in o' Canada. I've seen tons of videos of big Pike caught from that country. If you want to stay in state, then I would want to go to Volkmar or George Lakes by Delta Junction. I hope to make it out to one of those lakes myself this year.

Another pike enthusiast, sweet. I'd try Alexander, Trapper or maybe that George lake they were talking about. You can't go wrong.

Yeah I Have seen tons of video and photos of monster pike out of Canada, but if I were to make that trip, I would definently want to target those Monster Lakers that are all of the internet.

Be forewarned... I went on a caribou hunt above Yellowknife a few years back, and after bagging my 'bou we hit the water with rods in hand. The laker fishing nearly ruined me for life!

Had I known at the time about all the huge pike in the vicinity I might still be up there.

Sorry guys the NWT is full, closed, no more room!!!!
After all we now have over 40,000 people living here and only 440,500 square miles of land.................that's only 10 square miles per person!!!!
It's getting pretty darn crowded here so the borders are closed!!!
