Default Trail Report W.P.C. Willow AK. 12/03/08

Well here we are again, another week gone by and everone beat the heck out of the trails on a 4 day weekend and seem to have a great time! So we spent Monday and Tuesday trying to get the trails smoothed back out so everyone can have a blast this weekend. Well 294 fleet miles and 2 guys putting in 40 total hrs. have made things right again. All main trails have been groomed just waiting for you to head to your favorite area! We got 5" of new snow on Sunday and about 1" today, so that make about 17" of base and the swamps are getting better to ride. There is still some overflow on the lakes. It's 22 degrees and they are talking maybe more snow. I talk to Dave up at Luce's tonight and they have about 2ft. of snow and it was snowing when I called. He just got back from a gas run for 220 Gals. And had no problem! He said don't use the main river to freight use the GCI trail. Also the river from Dehska landing to Kroto Slough had been marked. Remember maps are at Townsite Liquor and Grocery, Hatcher Pass Polaris. Alaska House of Yamaha in Big Lake and ERPAC in Eagle River.
Please stay on the trails and lakes till you get to the Willow Swamp to respect private property!!!

Remember we take the bumps so you don't have too!!!

    Thumbs up Where to park!!!

First stop at the Townsite Liquor & Grocery and pick up at map! It will have parking areas marked with a red circle with a P in it. But otherwise park at The Community Center or West Gate Center out by Vera Lake. Or you can spend money and park out by Deshka Landing or at Nancy Lake State Park when the Snow is 18" or more!
