2009 Sport Fishing Regulation Cover art Contest
SPORT FISHING REGULATION BOOKLET YOUTH COVER PHOTO CONTEST
The Division of Sport Fish is conducting a youth photo contest, with the winning photo appearing on the cover of a regional 2009 sport fishing regulations booklet.
To be considered for the cover, the primary person in any photo must be under the age of 18 when the photo was taken and must be an Alaska resident. Photos must show or represent youth (under age 18) sport fishing or sharing what sport fishing means to them. Both the youth and the photographer will be credited inside the cover.
Digital format or 5”x7” prints, please do not send transparencies. Photos can be e-mailed to dfg.dsf.AquaticEd@alaska.gov. The subject line of the e-mail must include the pictured young Alaskan’s home community, or the location the photo was taken. Electronic submission size is limited to less than 10MB. Please limit the number of entries to three per person. Hard copies may be sent to Alaska Department of Fish and Game, ATTENTION: Jay Baumer. With hard copy or electronic submissions, please include: A brief description of the fishing adventure (who, what, when, where); name and age of person(s) in the photo; name of the person who took the photo; and contact information.
Photos entered in the contest will be considered for one of three regulations booklets: 1) “Southcentral Alaska,” which includes communities in Prince William Sound, the Kenai Peninsula, Matanuska-Susitna Valleys, and Anchorage; 2) “Kodiak and Alaska Peninsula,” which includes communities on Kodiak Island, the Alaska Peninsula, and the Aleutian Islands; 3) “Bristol Bay,” which includes communities from Pilot Point to Togiak.
Entries must be received at the Alaska Department of Fish and Game or e-mailed no later than 5 p.m. December 10, 2008.
