I'm an Alaska nonresident and have a brother-in-law Alaska resident. I noticed that there is a guide-hunter requirement for several hunts (Tok sheep, etc). The regs are somewhat confusing but it sounds like I can write in my relative's name and still apply for these hunts?
I have not read the specific application but you can hunt with your brother in law. Get with him and fill out the ap. and good luck drawing and good luck hunting.
There is a little more to the requirement besides having a second degree of kinship resident to put on the application. He must accompany you into the field and be present during the hunt. In theory he would be an experienced Alaskan hunter but ......
