    Default Skijor Grouse hunting

I thought I made this up but no. It's apparently done in Sweden. I'm not sure of the logistics. I have the retreiver in a harness and pulling anyway. I have to do most of the work but and she goes straight until she smells something. I think skijoring to a potential spot, take off the harness and skis , let the dog hunt, shoot, retrieve & Skijor home.
Wonder if we could devise a winter fun hunt test? Might help keep the dogs in shape and slim down some of the hunt test competitors:-O.

    How crazy is this?
We walk in the snow for grouse anyway why not glide.

Linda the idea is not bad at all. Ive been talking about it for years now,but never do it.I just want any more dogs to feed all year to do this, but I have met a fella up north of the Brooks Range 2 years ago doing just this but he was also towing a sled behind him and going in for Caribou.Good luck on this cause I believe its a great idea.
