    Default anchors

Iam wondering what kinda anchors to use on my fox set?It is in a swamp with no big trees around and am afraid if I drag a big log over there it will look a little out of place. How big of tree do you need to anchor your trap to?do I need to add more chain to my trap or attach a cable?any ideas out there?

    Default Anchoring

There are many different ways of anchoring. Depending on what kind of ground your in. Is it ice? or frozen muck in the swamp?

If it is ice, you can drive a rebar stake into the ice and put a little water on it to freeze it into place, that holds VERY well. If it is frozen muck, i would probably try disposable earth anchors, like Pogo's, or something similar.

Also, if your just after fox, you should be able to get by with placing a drag out there. Heck make the drag a pee post , get creative.

    Okie,

We use snares to make our traps reach further.
