    Does anyone have any great Alaskan hors d'oeuvre recipes that you would like to share with the rest of us? May be a real treat especially with the holidays just around the corner. Thanks

    Default Alaskan scallops wrapped in bacon

    Here is a recipe that I really enjoy, easy to prepare.

    Alaskan scallops wrapped in bacon

    1 lb. fresh sea scallops
    1 lb. sliced bacon (not too fatty, preferably smoked bacon)
    juice of 1 fresh lemon
    2 Tbs. olive oil
    fresh pepper
    long toothpicks
    Preparation:
    Mix olive oil, lemon juice and pepper in small bowl. Pour over scallops and marinate in refrigerator for about an hour. Wrap each scallop with half strip of bacon. Keep together with toothpick.
    Place on broiler pan. Broil in oven until golden brown and bacon is done to desired crispness.
    Serve hot.
