At the Anchorage snowmachine club meeting the other night I found out a follow club member die in a snowmachine accident on a Glacier.

The person was 35 feet to one side of the group going single file and drove into a hole, there was no way anyone would have known it was there and he was not going fast.

They said the safest way to travel on a Glacier is in single file.

The down side is a few years ago 4 or 5 snowmachiners all went in the same hole one on top of each other and they were going fast.

I guest the answer is be very careful and carry survival gear for traveling on a glacier.
