Default Powerwinch Quick Catch Pot Puller

Hi im from Europe (Norway) and i have read the threads of pot pullers her in Alaksa Boat forum.

Im wondering to buy me one Pot puller to use on Lobster pots.
Here in Norway lobster pots is about 30-40lbs. and we have maybe 3 or 4 in a line the deep is about max ca 100 feet. and the distance between the pots is about 50 feet. we also have a strong streem her and a bit big waves its pretty close offshore.

And i want a pot puller with EL motor.

What do you think about the: Powerwinch Quick Catch Pot Puller do you think it can make this work for me. and whats your experience with it?
Is it noisy? more Noisy than others el pullers? And its it reliable? and so on.
Have been funny if you have som pictures how you have fastenit to the boat. I can only afford a puller how cost about 500 dollars. So them more expensive its not something for me.

Hope you understand my poor english and will help me with your experience.

    Thumbs down Sorry, but no

I have one on my boat I use to pull shrimp pots and my anchor. I could pull all 5 of my pots with it if I had to but it'd make it work pretty good. All 5 of my shrimp pots might weigh as much as one of your lobster pots from the sound of it so no, I would definitely NOT recommend buying one. I don't know of any electric pullers that would be able to do what you're asking, sorry. Small honda motor with a davit is what I'd be looking for if I were you. Good luck.

only one hauler to do the job you ask, "Electra-Dyne" cost more but it will do the job and not break down.

    Default pot puller

I would get a hold of Brothers Welding and but a little-aud pot puller with a honda motor. Or just buy you a honda motor with a 6 to 1 gear reduction and make you own and make your own davit.

contact Brothers welding at phone 360 796-426i

Thanks for answer from your all.

Its stand in the instruction manual that the powerwinch pulls about 200lbs. Does the electra dyne pulls more?

Anyone knows if the powerwinch is noisy?

And i see the powerwinch draws 80 A i dont have seen anyone else puller how draws more A.
Seen the Powerwinch have the small drawingweel about 3,5" inch i thougt its was some of the stronges in the marked for EL pullers?

Have any one tried the Capstan 300 power winch this one pulls 300lbs
but only draw at a max speed about 85f/min this is maybe very slow.

the power winch is 200lbs and draws at max speed 150f/min at 100lbs

I am running a 3.5 hp gas engine with a 6:1 gearbox. Plenty of power. It might be best for your setup.
