    Default Clunie Lake today

My son and I hit Clunie lake today. We were the only ones out there and the ice was about 12" thick. Being new to ice fishing and only being up here for 18 months (May 07 to Dec 09) I didn't invest in a gas auger and hand augered 6 holes. I'm sure I'll feel it tomorrow.
We pulled in about 20 little trout in just about 4 hours. We kept 4 of the 12" for the frying pan tomorrow. My son caught 3 of these and talked about fishing better than me all the way home.
We also had the army choppers training on low level flying and going over us at about what seemed 100' or so.
The day ended with 2 bald eagles flying over and shrieking with other.
    Today was a great day!

those are dang good for compared to the stockers from this year... Try between the peninsulas...
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.
