It worked fine and that is also a nice grayling. Love to see them and catch them. Such a beautiful fish and a great fish to pursue for a 1sy time or kids or big kids like me

Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught.

    Default Nice

Always nice to see a Nice Fish and a Smile. Better watch out she might want your boat in a couple of years.

    Thanks for sharing.

Default she can HAVE my boat!

All she has to do is marry one of my sons, and she can catch grayling to her heart's content. And I'll put that in writing...

My wife and I's first camping trip was on Denali highway. We had known each other 3 weeks. Took her up there in the old tent with my one burner stove and stayed at the way side. It is day use only now. This was on 01. We fell in love that weeken fishing tangle and rock creek and catching grayling after grayling. The next year one year to the day we got married on the deck of Tangle Lakes lodge with suzie and allen (who now run mclaren river lodge) as our witness's. We camped for 4 days prior to our sunday wedding and fished all over the highway. So on sunday June gets up and head to the lodge to start "prepping" I stay and break down camp "errrr fish" I had the pleasure of catching a boat load of grayling that morning then going off to get married. No i did not fish that night but I did the next day. One of out favorite places to camp and fish is the denali highway and grayling memories

The boy and her were living in Fairbanks and asked if I could take them out fishing. I being the dad, but wanting to teach the leason of expencies and always wanting to take the boat out anyway said buy the gas. We caught about 25 that day but her ( first ) fish beat out my sons by about 1/2" LoL. They all went back in the water but a good time was had by all ( I did'nt even fish) E.S.
