You're auctioning off a Delta bison tag? Wow. What have those gone for in the past?

Need to get with Paul and Paige. There was a meeting last night to discuss if we should make it an auction or raffle.

I hope its a raffle thats the only way I would have a shot at it. Either way the money is going to a good cause.

Agreed. I would pony up some cash for a raffle ticket, but there's no way that I could get in on an auction. Whatever is best for ABA, though...

Would think no, but I don't know how these special tags work. 267-2100 fish and game. Give them a call.

The Governors Tags will be auction items. They do not count towards tags previously drawn or ones you intend to put in for … if you drew a tag w/i the last five years – no problem; and if you win the auction, you can still put in for these hunts as soonas the next drawing period this year. Heck, with luck you could have two Delta Bison Tags this year!

Would you still not be subject to the bag limit of 1 bison / 5 years, assuming you were successful on the first hunt?

Okay, I thought "they" may have given you the wrong info ... Milo, et al, you're okay even if you harvested one in the last five. An interesting side note: If you want to make "book" there aren't many herds left so the chances are getting less and less.

Also, FYI, the ABA only gets a small portion of the return - these aren't 100% donations. These tags are rightly the property of the people of Alaska and most of the monies are returned to the states wildlife program. It's a win + win + win (you, us, everyone) venture.
