If it is an AR style rifle, you want to use the CCI #41 primers, otherwise, small rifle will work just fine. The #41 are harder primers for use in the AR rifle. If you were to chamber a round and then eject it, the firing pin dimples the back of the primer from the impact of the bolt closing. The #41 are mil-spec hard primers so they wont accidentally fire from repeated chamberings.

Its just a personal safety quirk with me. Small Rifle primers work great, but i just want to make sure that i wont accidentally blow my toes off while chambering a round. (I dont point at my feet when i do that, it was just an example)

Some of the loading manuals (Speer is one) recommend magnum small rifle primers for the 223 when using spherical powders (such as H335), which they state provide better ignition...especially when temperatures are below 20F. I've used lots of Remington 7.5's (a magnum primer) when loading 223 with H335. Just be sure to follow published loads matched for the magnum primer, and don't use a magnum primer with nonmagnum primer load data.
