Default Lower Gear, More Power, Tundra 300F 06-09

    Hi,

Below is a link to a word document that I put together after changing the bottom sprocket in the chain case on my 06 Tundra. This applies to other newer model skidoos, but you would have to verify that fact beyond the Tundra 300F RF series. The document includes "how to" pictures. My 06 Tundra is geared down in two ways - 15/49 top/bottom sprocket in the chain case instead of the stock 15/45 (9% reduction) and 8T drive sprocket instead of a 9T (an additional 12.5% reduction) for the track resulting in a total reduction of 21% from stock. This gives it the extra low end grunt that I desired. Note that 15T is as small as you can go on the top sprocket. 49T is as large as you can go on the bottom sprocket but 48T may be a safer bet.

This is about as low as you can go with the gearing. However I know of one individual whom went to a 7T drive sprocket.

    Hi,

There is not much snow up high in SW Colorado yet, but enough that it is starting to drift some. Hopefully some bigger storms will show up soon.
