Default Holiday candy making get together?

Just wondering if there were any interest in holiday candy making get together? I have chocolates nailed and all the molds. A good Truffle and German nougat recipe too.

    Rick,
I'd love to do something like this, but we just live so far away.

    Alaska Grandma,
I think that we should share recipes.

    What do you guys think?

    Default Raspberry fudge

Here is a good one made with homemade raspberry jam. And it is easy too.

    Raspberry fudge
    Ingredients:

    • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
    • 2 tsp vanilla extract
    • 1/8 tsp salt
    • 1/8 cup cream
    • 1/2 cup homemade raspberry jam (preferably seedless)
    • 2 cups white chocolate chips
    • 1/8 tsp lemon juice

    1. Prepare an 8x8 pan by lining it with aluminum foil and spraying the foil with nonstick cooking spray.
    2. Combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and the condensed milk in a double boiler. Stir until the mixture is completely homogenous and smooth.
    3. Add the vanilla and salt and stir until combined. Pour into the prepared pan and refrigerate until this layer is mostly set, about 1 hour.
    4. Once this layer is set, prepare the raspberry layer: combine the cream, white chocolate chips, and raspberry preserves in double boiler until melted. Stir until smooth, then add the lemon juice and stir again.
    5. Allow the raspberry-white chocolate mixture to cool to lukewarm, then pour it over the chocolate fudge layer and smooth it in an even layer using a knife or an offset spatula.
    6. Return the fudge to a cool place to set, about 2-3 hours. To serve, cut into 1-inch squares.

This recipe is easy too. Cranberries are a traditional holiday treat.

    Cranberry candy
    1 cup fresh cranberries
    1 cup sugar
    1 cup water

poke each cranberry with a needle

Cook sugar and water to thread stage (230 on your candy thermometer)

Add cranberries and cook very slowly until syrup jells.
Dry cranberris on wax paper and roll in sugar
