Awesome vis SS. I especially like the shots in the grocery store and the spinnning shot on the ice. You have way too much time on your hands!!

    Talking Thanks

    ALL,

    Thank you for the comments.

The big fish of the day went an estimate 20-21 inches (in girth that is) lol.

I really do not know exactlly the size. I have a measure stick I made and it registered as HUGE on the marks I made.

If I had to say for sure over 18 under 21? I think thats part of the fun not really knowing. I do know it was a beautiful day and a beautiful rainbow, hope someone else catches the fish one day. I am truley blessed to live in such a wonderful place, and share the experience with cool people.

Just wondering what the ice thickness is over by the point? Can a guy drive over ther yet? Or at least get to the lodge by snowmachine, really just want to get to the trail.

    Default Ice Thickness

We watched a guy camp out near the deep part of the lake, he had a couple of tents set up and was hauling firewood from his vehicle to his camping spot. I measured the ice thickness where we were fishing with the scoop, it was about 9 inches where we were, not sure about the middle. A few vehicles were out on the ice near the shore, it sure made the ice burp at us when they drove on it though.

    Default On My Way!!!

Great to see that the ice fishing has begun! I'm down to a little over a month before I get back home for a nice vacation. We'll have it hit it again when I get there. I have some unfinished business with a pig of a rainbow on Quartz from last season.
