Default Looking for a shiny Colt 1911

I am trying to find a bright stainless Colt, either in 9mm, .38 spc, or .45. I have a Super Blackhawk Hunter with a Bisley frame that I am willing to put in as a partial trade, its scores about 8-9 on the perfection scale, and is worth around $550-600.

Let me know if you've got one... Thanks

I think you're talking about the Colt 1911 "Ultimate". I'm not sure what all they chambered, but I think it would probably be in .45ACP. I remember them from the late 1980's, and even back then, they cost about $1,000! Good luck! I paid a grand for a new Stainless 10mm Delta Gold Cup back in 1995, without all the special polishing. You might find someone who doesn't know what they have, but I really didn't mean to rain on your parade. Colt is more than a gun, it's a symbol, it's a monument. You might want to consider a Kimber, then get a GOOD gunsmith to polish it up. But figure on more than a grand until you get done. Happy hunting!
