What is my rifle worth?
I decided to spend the Winter "out" and brought one rifle with me from Haines. I am thinking of taking it to a gun show and looking at trade or sale. I have no idea what it's worth. Any educated opinions would be appreciated.
It is a Winchester 30-06 Model 70 XTR featherweight in excellent condition and a really beautiful wood stock. It has a Leupold VX 3x9x42 scope. Serial number is: G1861211. I would put the overall condition at a 9 plus.
There was one on Gunbroke that didn't sell at $575 that didn't have a scope.
I would suggest looking online to find similar guns. That will at least get you in the neighborhood.
I agree with oakman, also, I would sell the scope and rifle separate. You are more likely to get a better combined price. Someone who likes the rifle may not want the scope and vice versa.
