There is 4-5 inches on upper 6-mile lake down here on Elmendorf and someone has been out drilling holes. Looks like my first taste of alaska fishing will be thru the ice!

Hope you have some patience, Ice fishing is nothing like salmon fishing in the summer time. It is a great way to spend the long winter though. Its priceless if you find somebody to trade fishing stories and fishing secrets with. Good Luck! Let us know how your first trip goes.

    Fish on!

Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught.

I've got plenty of patience when it comes to ice fishing. I like the hard water just as much as the summer.
