    Default OR Alpine Bivy

Does anyone know that if these bivy's come with a footprint or is the bottom durable enough to not need one? Thanks!!!

don't use a footprint, but then again i have only bivy'd on snow with it, not on gravel., etc. not sure what kind of sleeping pad you use. i use an inflatable pad. if you have a hard foam one like a thermarest, that can go under the pad itself rather then inside, which is how i use it in the winter. plan on getting more summer use this coming spring/summer. if anything, for a footprint, i find tyvek to be great. find a piece and cut the needed dimensions. it rolls up well and is small.
