I have one of my 300 Win Mag M-700 XCR tactical.

It is a 4.5 x 14 power, 30 mm tube and a side focus. It is SUPER clear.

I think the plex in there is somewhat overrated and certainly overpriced.

I think I have a photo looking trough the scope on this thread.

I have a VX-III 4.5-14x40 on my Ruger .338. It's clear, simple, and came with easy to follow instruction. If you are target shooting for competition, this is not the scope for you, but then again, you wouldnt be asking about it. Personally, I think it is a great hunting scope. I sighted at 200 (per the instructions) and have only shot to 400yrds with the reticle. It was dead on at 200, 300, and real close at 400. I havent played around after that, but I'm pretty sure out to 500 it will keep it in the kill zone nicely. I really like the VX-III's for hunting scopes, and the B&C takes out a lot of guess work, imo. It is pricy, but good scopes usually are. Good luck with your decission!

Default Leupold boone & crockett reticle

Northern / Float Pilot.......thanks for the info. I have several Leupold VX III's with the duplex & heavy duplex on hunting rifle's. Since I am considering another scope I was considering the b & c reticle but wasn't sure it was worth the extra money. Thanks

I got a Leupold scope with the B&C reticle. Good stuff that I really like, but honestly, I'd rather have turrets.
