Default First Rabbit Hunt = Success!!!!!!

I took my 5yr old boy out rabbit hunting today. It was a steller success, he got three rabbits, one all by himself. I was really suprised at how well he did. I was suprised no whinning, wasn't sqweemish about touching a dead rabbit or blood. He dashed right in there and grabbed the rabbits by the back legs even if they were still shaking. He even helped clean them too.

Earlier this year I shortened up a old bolt action 22lr. It was an older marlin/glenfield that I had cut down to 16" and cut down the wood stock, and glued on a butpad made out of a flip-flop. Topped with a red dot site and it made the perfect first gun. The red dot is easy for him to hit with.

Very nice. I can't wait to get my boy out in the woods next year.
We do not go to the green woods and crystal waters to rough it, we go to smooth it. We get it rough enough at home; in towns and cities; in shops, offices, stores, banks anywhere that we may be placed
