    Default APB on Kenai Turkeys

So rumor has it, that there are some turkeys on the Kenai. I was wondering if anyone knows if this rumor is true, is there is a season, and where a good place to try my luck would be. This maybe just a far out request. Any response will be helpful.

They are still there....There was a long tiresome thread on this in the small game forum earlier this year. Several people saw them...my wife saw them in cooper landing driving to Soldotna this spring.

They were right around skilak lake road. There is a guy who lives there that could not take care of them and they kept getting loose. He has since been fined and cleaned them out.

Skilak Lake road and there were some on the road to the Princess lodge in Cooper Landing. No season that I know of..and we've had several discussions about them.

i think ferral game birds are listed in the unclassified game section of the hunt regs...my guess is thats where those turkeys would fall. i seen them at the cooper landing bridge once, about our or five of them.

there are "turkeys" all over Anchorage, come wipe them all out.

BTW, if you do find them down on K.pen., kill them all, they are just competition for the other native birds.
