Default McMillan Stock- model 700 SPS

Iam considering buying a McMillan stock for my Model 7oo-300 Win Mag. it is a SPS. Iam not crazy about the factory stock, nor the trigger...any thoughts where a hunter might find a clean used stock.????

You can find them used in the classified section of various shooting forums. I don't seem to have much luck getting them that way, but a couple of friends have.

I have ordered stocks right from McMillan. If you looks at their "web specials" page (link), you might find what you're looking for. They are a little cheaper than ordering ordering one from scratch, but more importantly, you won't have a 6-month wait.

I was in the same position as you, looking at Mcmillian stocks they are good but I think you may find MPI stocks better value for your $. I have a MPI stock on my 338 Rem Ultra Mag and it preforms really well, dampening recoil beautifully. you could give em ago on:mpistocks@comcast.net <mpistocks@comcast.net>
