I heard tonight that the Valley class will be held in Nov. I should have the flyer tomorrow and will post it here. As for classes in Kenai I will check with the commander down there and find out. Somtimes the websites don't get updated like they should. The Kenai class info may take me a few days to get. Thanks for you interest in the boating classes.

Default Thanks for posting information about classes

If you hadn't posted the information here I never would have known about it. I have been out in PWS almost every weekend for the past few years and I have been trying to go to one of these classes for awhile. Being out there with my kids and other people that I care about makes these classes extremely worthwhile.
    Thanks again for the info,

    Default Fairbanks classes

I clicked on the USCG AUX site classes and there were none listed for Fairbanks (in fact none listed) Is there a way I can find out if there is another one this winter or spring? It sounds like a good winter project.

Tealer I will track down the info for a contact person in Fairbanks. I know they have several classes but they don't keep the website up to date and that is why you aren't finding the information there. Give me a day or two and I'll see what I come up with. Thanks everyone for your interest in the boating classes.

    Default Thanks Hewey

I have a couple friends with some good sized boats (24 ft and bigger) who showed some interest in the courses too. None of us knew such classes would be available up here. Thanks for the help.

How was the attendance? Thank you for your interest in safe boating. I'm still trying to locate class info for you Fairbanks and Kenai folks. Sorry it's taking me so long.

    Default Thanks

Hopefully we can get the word out and have a fairly full class up here in Fairbanks. Something productive to do during the winter.

I thought it was pretty good. Based on repsonses last year on this forum, we could of had a lot more, but the room was pretty full any way! I think we had about 16-17 on Saturday but only 9-10 showed on sunday. don't know why???
