Default fly suggestion for trout on the local lakes

Buddy and I are going out to Hillberg Lake this weekend and want to get a few flies before we get there. what would you all siggest for the 12"-14"ers this late in the season? neither of us have fished this late before, and just wanna know what the best equipment would be for this time of year. thanks!

    Default flies for Hillberg

I fished Hillberg 2 weeks ago, and a size 16 tan elk hair caddis was doing pretty good.

    Default Hillberg

My son and I love Hillberg. We've been out in the boat 2 times and had a blast each time. We didn't flyfish but they did bite on red blood sucking leech I casted and most anything else. Have fun!

smallest hook size i have seen is #8 for the wooly buggers and leeches...would this be ok for the 12-14"ers?? do they make them smaller? I don't have time to tie any now, but I will be heading to a pro shop this week to see...I suppose I'd prefer a #10 or so, maybe even #12.

    Default ill let it go

When one of us does something more crazy than that. You know it will happen just be patient. Might have to wait untill next spring but something will happen that trumps your custom parking job.
