    Default Delta

This is my first waterfowl season in Alaska and I want to take a weekend trip away from Anchorage and I would like to know if there are still any good spots for ducks or geese. I've heard that the Delta Junction area is good in Mid october. Is this true? And does anyone have any suggestions?

About 3" of snow here right now. Not sure if you'd have any luck. Maybe some ducks on the lakes, but I think the geese are history. E.S.

Have not seen any geese in the North Pole area for a long time now but the ducks are still around.

South of Anchorage has slowed considerably. The birds seem to head over Portage Pass once the weather clears.

Went to delta this weekend and saw a few cranes in the fields, wish I would have brought my shoot gun but I was trying to get rid of some coyotes for the farmer.
