    Default .338 Federal Loads

Ready to begin load workups for .338 Federal for Kimber 84M stainless. Have shot one box of commercial Federal Fusion 200 gr (to get the brass) results are 1.5 inch groups at 100 and 3-4 inches at 200 yards for this commercial load. Not what I was hoping for but sure to tighten up the groups with reloads. Anyone have a favorite .338 Federal load to share? I have one more box of the Fusion ammo to shoot to get more brass. Thanks in advance!

Throw the Federal brass away, use some Winchester or lapua 308 brass run through your sizing die. Use a Hornady 200 grain interlok and work up to a max of 47 grains of IMR 4895.
I had some promising results from H335 but never did follow through with load developement.

    Default Throw away Federal brass?

Why do you recommend tossing the Federal brass? Have you had poor experience with it or just prefer another brand? Thx

They are too stinking soft in the head area and will not allow you to load the 338 Federal to its full potential.
